Accessible Educational Materials Center

Welcome

The PaTTAN AEM Center is a service through the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) that supports the overall provision of AEM in Pennsylvania. Previously called PaTTAN Production Services, it serves as a central location for material production and technical support. The PaTTAN AEM Center produces and acquires AEM for students with qualifying print disabilities.

Ordering Process

Step 2

Step 3

AEM Center staff will email you regarding next steps.  New book orders may require a physical copy to be shipped to PaTTAN AEM Center.

Materials are produced for Pennsylvania students with qualifying print access disabilities who are unable to use educational materials in a traditional manner.

Formats produced by AEM Center include:

  • Braille
  • Enlarged Print (black and white)
  • Formatted PDF (digital access)

A physical textbook or digital file will be requested for any material requests not available in the AEM Center library. Requested books must include all pages and contain no imperfection that may impact the production process. Books will be scanned and rebounded before being returned to the requestor.

Production varies depending on the time of year and the format requested. Please anticipate at least 6 weeks for production.

The PaTTAN AEM Center is unable to accept religious text, dictionaries, atlases, thesauruses, encyclopedias, or worksheets.
