The Symbol Communicator for the Blind is a portable communicator designed for individuals who are blind or have dual sensory impairments. The communicator can store six messages on six levels for a total of 36 six-second messages. Messages are activated by touching one of the six removable tactile symbols. When touching the symbols, the user will feel a vibration, which can be disabled. The kit includes six tactile symbols: bathroom, something wrong, drink, I want, finished, eat.
