Each child and family that receives early intervention services must have an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Professionals and family members use the IFSP as they collaborate, as a team, to address developmental outcomes for a young child with disabilities or delays. The purpose of this course is to provide Early Intervention professionals with IFSP developmental guidelines. The materials in this course focus on state and national laws and regulations related to the development of the IFSP, facilitating the IFSP process and establishing functional outcomes that are meaningful to the child and family.

Objectives

Participants will:

• Describe the required components of Pennsylvania's Early Intervention Evaluation Report document and Individualized Family Service Plan or IFSP.
• dentify legislation and regulations that impact early intervention services.
• Establish IFSP outcomes that are meaningful to the child and family and that support learning in the child’s natural routines.
• Facilitate the IFSP process in order to promote family understanding and participation in the collaborative process.

Target Audience

Early Intervention Service Providers and staff, staff in early childhood programs across Pennsylvania programs, and family members
