Why Teach Cybersecurity?

The growing reliance on technology in schools necessitates a focus on cybersecurity education. This equips students with the skills to become responsible digital citizens. By understanding online threats, students can take control of their safety and navigate the digital world with confidence.

Also, our online world, from personal data to national security, is under constant attack.  While cybersecurity professionals are our frontline defense, there's a critical shortage of over 570,000 in the U.S. Filling these gaps is essential to safeguard organizations, fuel American cybersecurity innovation, and build a more diverse workforce. To empower everyone to defend themselves online, cybersecurity education needs to start as early as kindergarten.
