Hour with the Expert - Prevention and Intervention Measures to Support Student Mental Health

This training is meant to serve as an introductory discussion about best practice ideas to promote good mental health in the classroom. We will review the roles of various mental health professionals. Participants will discuss strategies that encourage collaboration with parents and outpatient providers to promote wellness. We will consider the ways that various mental health issues can impact learning and peer relations. We will review how to find local resources for mental health support in your district and consider barriers to care.
