The Focus 40 Braille Display is a refreshable braille display that provides a tactile interface to a user’s computer. The Focus 40 has 40 refreshable braille cells. The display includes a cursor routing button above each braille cell; two panning buttons; two rocker bars; two selector buttons; an eight-key Perkins-style keyboard located behind the front panel; a NAV Rocker and a mode button at each end of the display for quick navigation of files, lists, and menus; and VariBraille adjustable braille dot firmness. It also includes Status cells configurable to either end of the display; Rapid Reading mode for quick review of files; and Bluetooth® wireless connectivity. All buttons can be configured to set up hot keys for specific functions. The user can scroll by line, sentence, or paragraph, or pan through a document using the Whiz Wheels. The display connects to a desktop or laptop computer using a USB port.
