This five part webinar series will cover the basic principles of providing effective instruction for students with High Functioning Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. The series will cover a range of topics including basic educational strategies and tactics for addressing the academic needs of students with High Functioning Autism and Asperger’s Disorder, social skills instruction, successful team work and instructional practices to promote effective inclusive practices, and methods of assuring fidelity of interventions for these students as well monitoring progress through measurement. - This segment of the five part webinar series will address the importance of evidence-based practice for serving students with high functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. Descriptions of how the basic principles align with specific programming methods for this population will be provided. An emphasis on both instructional design and motivation will be provided.
