This Embedded Instruction for Early Learning course focuses on collecting and using data about embedded learning opportunities and children's progress on target skills. To help preschool Early Intervention professionals in Pennsylvania implement Embedded Instruction for Early Learning, this course builds on existing elements and helps the team consider how to collect and use data to make informed instructional decisions about "What to Teach," "When to Teach," and "How to Teach." Participants will know why and how to make instructional decisions by collecting and using data about embedded learning opportunities and know different types of data they can collect to track their implementation of embedded learning opportunities. Teams will be able to answer the questions, “Are we doing it?" and “Is it working?” by exploring tips and tools including printable documents and graphing templates. Finally, this course describes questions that teams might consider when making data-informed decisions about whether changes are needed either to their implementation of embedded instruction or the child's learning target.
