This Embedded Instruction for Early Learning course focuses on identifying and implementing embedded learning opportunities as intended. To help preschool Early Intervention professionals in Pennsylvania implement Embedded Instruction for Early Learning, this course describes how to provide embedded learning opportunities that include natural or logical cues (A-Antecedent), child behaviors (B-Behavior) linked to the target skill, and consequences (C-Consequences), in addition to knowing how to plan for and use additional help cues or prompts when the child does not do the target skill behavior. Examples of natural or logical cues and positive consequences or feedback will be described, as well as tools for helping teams intentionally provide these antecedents and consequences. Finally, this course will support Early Intervention professionals in partnering with Early Childhood Education professionals by providing resources to help teams plan for and implement embedded learning opportunities.
